An automatic sliding door is a style of automated door that, utilising electricity, senses a person trying to enter or exit and then using a motor drives a pulley to smoothly open the door. After a short delay to let the person through; the automatic door system then reverses the pulley system and the doors are closed again. Automatic sliding doors can be triggered by a motion sensor, pressure pad, push-button or access control (such as a keycard or fingerprint sensor.)
